This is the official site of Harry and Wende Devlin; artists, illustrators and writers.  Between them, this dynamic pair authored 26 children’s books, three films, and countless cartoons for Collier’s magazine while raising 7 children.

Harry Devlin (March 22, 1918 – November 25, 2001) was an artist and a painter who also worked as a cartoonist for magazines such as Collier’s. His work won him the National Cartoonist Society Advertising and Illustration Award for 1956, 1962, and 1963, their Illustration Award for 1977 and 1978, and their Magazine and Book Illustration Award for 1990.

Wende Devlin (April 27, 1918 – August 13, 2002) created the comic strip “Fullhouse”, which became “Raggmopp”, from 1954 to 1957.  In addition, Wende drew the “Amy and Margie” comic strip and scripted “Beat Poems of a Beat Mother” for Good Housekeeping magazine. She also penned the beloved “Cranberry” series of children’s books. Wende was the recipient of the George Arents Medal for Art and Literature.
